In collaboration with the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and Luxembourg, we hosted a discussion on the EU Customs Code Reform, having the Chair of the Wise Persons Group, and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Arancha Gonzalez Laya, as speaker.
It was a great discussion full of insightful experiences and ideas to cope with illicit trade while facilitating operations for business in the EU market.
Increasing new EU regulations must be observed as civil society demands. The cost of reintroducing duties for low-value consignments is relatively low in the digital era. Stopping illicit trade is urgent and requires strong action.
